Psalm 84:11, 10:17; [Matthew 6:33]; I John 5:14, 15; Psalm 50:14, 103:3; Philippians 4:19; Psalm 4:7, 8; 46:10
We find a simple message in the Bible about a God of answered prayer, Who deserves our praise and thanksgiving. It is a comfort knowing He is an able God with limitless resources and is full of tenderness, forgiveness, healing and miracles.
Many people realize these truths and acknowledge that God is able but fail to believe He is willing. We are His children, the objects of His love, grace and mercy. When we realize that God is both able and willing, our faith becomes aligned with the declaration of the Scripture and we become recipients of what He has to give us.
For too long, God has been taught as being vengeful, and Christian life has been given a negative cast where Christians are always supposed to be miserable and suffering for the Lord. People need to be introduced to a God of love, Who answers prayer and to the concept that Christian living can be fun.
God is a great protector. His promise is to give every good thing to those who walk uprightly. He is a great provider Who knows our needs before we even ask.
We can have confidence in our God, knowing He hears us and that He answers our requests. Nothing is impossible with God. Everyone has different needs at different times, but the important thing to remember is that God knows our need and will supply them.
We can have a stayed mind and peaceful heart. Whatever the situation may be, we can have great confidence in God’s willingness and ability to answer our prayers. When our prayers are answered, we give thanks.
