John 18:37; I Samuel 17:29; Luke 4:18; Deuteronomy 32:9; Acts 1:8; I Samuel 30:1-6; Psalm 34:4; I Samuel 30:8; 18-25; Exodus 15:3; Judges 3:1, 2; Psalm 144:1; Joshua 5:13, 14; Matthew 11:12; Colossians 2:15; Jeremiah 48:10; Acts 13:9-11; John 18:37 We were created to give glory to God and chosen to fulfill the calling God has placed on our lives. Everyone has a calling in life, but the greatest honor anyone can have is to be a son of God. Being his sons, we want to be about the Fathers business. In John 18:37, Jesus said, "For this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth." Jesus is the great liberator. He came to free mankind because they had been taken captive. He wanted to share with mankind the good news, the gospel. We too, having been set free ourselves, are now to set the captives free. The Scriptures declare that the Lords portion is His people. That is what God wants. At times, God will direct us to go minister somewhere to His people, and we are to be obedient to His directive. When we do so, we will see His power working in us and others. People in other parts of the world worship many false gods because they have been lied to by the Adversary. How odd that when some tragedy takes place or a product is well-marketed, a huge percent of the worlds population will hear about it in a short amount of time. Yet after over 2,000 years, less than 55% of the human population has heard of the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to listen to God and obey Him when it comes to speaking His Word to the world. When we obey our Father, signs, miracles and wonders follow our actions and great deliverance takes place. Without God and His Word, people are led astray. We cannot be too busy to be about Gods business. God wants us to "Go!" The first two letters of "God," "gospel," and "good news" are "go!" We should go and bring the gospel of deliverance. We have been commissioned to go and set the captives free. We have an enemy. We must be willing to fight for what is ours and protect what the Lord has given us. We are in a war a spiritual battle for the hearts and lives of people. God wants us to finish what He has given us to do. He wants us to know how to fight and conquer. When Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, he took the keys of death and hell. He was the victor. As in Roman culture, when a conquered army was made to follow the victor in chains behind his war chariot, Jesus Christ showed all the devil spirits what he had done. He was the conqueror, and took away all the titles from the Adversary. He took the title, "Accuser of the Brethren," and threw it down, saying, "I am the Advocate!" He took every title that Satan had and disgraced him. Every devil spirit saw and had to bow before Jesus as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus Christ is the conqueror. The war has already been won. Our job is simply to enforce it. We are to stand in the gap for Gods people, asking the Lord to teach us how to do this and what He would have us to do. We too have a cause to set the captives free! We have a purpose, which only God can unfold to us. Let us seek His will
